Villino Annalisa

Coreglia Antelminelli - Lucca and Viareggio

4 2 1 Private Pool
Villino Annalisa is a lovingly restored holiday home set in a peaceful hillside location in the Garfagnana, one of Tuscany’s most unspoiled regions. Surrounded by forest and overlooking the Serchio Valley, the property offers sweeping views of the Apuan Alps and the Apennines in the distance. It is an ideal retreat for couples and small families seeking nature and tranquillity.

The large village of Coreglia Antelminelli is just one kilometre away and offers a few local shops and authentic restaurants such as L’Arcile and Da Corrado degli Antelminelli. The historic spa town of Bagni di Lucca is a 25-minute drive away and has been known for its thermal springs since Etruscan and Roman times. The area is full of beautiful sights, including the spectacular Ponte della Maddalena, also known as the Devil’s Bridge. The charming city of Lucca, with its intact city walls and many churches, is just 40 minutes away. Pisa and the coast can be reached in about an hour. The area is also ideal for hiking, rafting, and canoeing on the Serchio River.

The two-storey villa is built from natural stone and features a shaded dining terrace and a well-tended garden dotted with beautifully planted terracotta pots. A lovely pool completes the outdoor space.

Inside, guests will find wooden beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls, terracotta floors, and tasteful, comfortable furnishings. The two upstairs bedrooms are separated by a bamboo screen. A pellet stove on the ground floor provides warmth on cooler evenings. There is no heating upstairs. The adjoining flat belongs to the owner's sister but is currently unoccupied.

My family (myself, my wife and two teenage daughters) wanted a peaceful retreat for a weeks break. This was it! The property is nestled in the hills at the base of a village. It was quiet, the views were stunning, lovely outside place to eat, the pool was lovely, and the house was an amazing old stone building with beautiful exposed beams. The kitchen had a lot of the basics you need for cooking which also helped. It was a well equipped house. Stella met us when we arrived and made us feel right at home, and was very helpful throughout our stay, with things like restaurant recommendations. There was also a cold bottle of fizz in the fridge. The village/town itself was a great location as there were shops and two great restaurants which had delicious food and were really reasonably priced. Both under 10 minutes walk away. It was not too touristy either - just the right balance. So basically a 5 Star review from my family for a much needed relaxing holiday in the hills of Tuscany.
