From its position on a hill top the villa has wonderful views of the valley below on the Chianti hills in the distance. The beauty of these views is especially noticeable from the spacious swimming pool area and terraces which allow for the ultimate relaxation and enjoyment of a Tuscan villa holiday.

The park of the villa has many places to sit and relax in the shade of ancient trees, one of the most appealing corners of the park is the small pond with fountain. This area is completely fenced and can be accessed through a small gate. Here there is a stone bench to enjoy the peace of the Tuscan countryside.

From the park the villa is accessed from a covered entrance. The entrance hall has a grand marble staircase to the first floor.

To the left of this hall there is a spacious study which has a wooden writing desk, terracotta floors and a wooden ceiling. In this room there is a WI-FI and standard connection for high speed Internet. Against one wall there are a couple of armchairs.

To the right of the entrance hall there is a large L shaped living area. This room is divided into three areas by marble and terracotta arches, each area is beautifully furnished. Some pieces of art complete the atmosphere of this romantic castle.

The first area has a huge working fireplace with the villa's coat of arms, very typical of the large castles.

The second area is furnished with a large comfortable sofa and two armchairs. There are beautiful frescoes on the walls. The ceiling of this room is vaulted with terracotta tiles.

The third area is furnished with a piano and several modern armchairs. Doors lead out to the park of the castle. The living area is equipped with Sat TV, CD player, DVD player, video machine and a stereo.

From this last living area there is access to a large kitchen and dining area. The dining area is furnished with a wooden table with chairs to comfortably seat up to 14 people. On one side of the table there is a wooden bench protected behind a drop curtain.

The kitchen is through an arch, it is fully equipped with gas hobs, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Attached to it is a large pantry. There is a breakfast table with high chairs in the kitchen. In the room there is a working fireplace to barbeque indoors. From this room there is access to a large panoramic furnished terrace and a laundry room with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities. There is also a WC.

The first floor is accessed from the stairs in the entrance hall. From the first floor hall there is a sitting room which has fascinating frescoes on the wall and a small fireplace. The original black and white tiled floor has been fully restored and so has the wooden ceiling.

To the other side of the hall there are three bedrooms. The first is the cardinal room which is furnished with a large single bed. The room has been tastefully decorated in a modern artistic way, with the bedside table being a live reproduction of the painting on the wall above it. The windows of this room overlook the park and cypress trees.

Continuing down the corridor there is a large green marble bathroom which has a tub with handheld shower and double sinks. At the end of the hall there are two bedrooms. One is called the "Delle palme" room and has been well decorated with a large four poster bed and a built in wardrobe.

The third bedroom is called "Girasole" and is equipped with two brass beds set up as a double. There is a single sofabed in the room. The ceiling is in typical Tuscan style with wooden beams. The room has a pretty view.

On the second floor there are other four bedrooms. The first is 'Delle Tazze', this room takes its name from the cups painted on the wall. The single bedroom (three quarter bed)is decorated in grey and pink providing it with a lovely warm atmosphere. From the windows there are pretty views of the park and cypresses trees.

Next to this room there is a large bathroom in pink marble. It has a tub with handheld shower and double sinks. After this there are another two bedrooms. One is called "Oroscopo" as it is decorated with the symbols of the horoscope. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a sofa and a wooden wardrobe. From the room there are views of the valley with Castellina in Chianti on a hill in the distance.

The third bedroom is the master bedroom called 'Tree of Life'. This is a large green double bedroom with a decorative fire place and it is decorated with a painting of a tree on the wall from which the name comes from. Also on this floor is a third large bathroom which also has a tub with handheld shower and double sinks. This bathroom is accessed through the master bedroom and a reading room.

The last room on this floor is called "Deserto" and is decorated with images of sand dunes. The room is a twin room and has twin white wardrobes which are made to look like desert tents. From the windows there are wonderful views of the Tuscan hills dotted with stone villages.

The twin rooms can be made into doubles on request when booking.

Included in the price is maid service 3 times a week only for the bathrooms and kitchen.
