The Palio
The Palio
The Palio is the highlight of the Sienese calendar when everything stops and everyone descends upon the central square of Siena to witness the spectacular annual festival which dates back to Medieval times. The event takes place on 2 July and 16 August.
Casa Sisti is a wonderful hamlet which has nearby public transport links to take you to the centre of Siena to ensure you don’t miss a thing or have to worry about parking! There are 6 apartments at the hamlet sleeping between 2-4 people and a private house sleeping 8. Facilities include swimming pool, ping-pong tables, free internet access and hydromassage tub.

La Piaggia
February in Italy is Carnival time in the lead up to the period of Lent before Easter. The ‘Carnevale’ at the coastal town of Viareggio is second only to the famous celebrations which take place in Venice. Make sure you try the typical carnival sweets 'Cenci' and the 'Fritelle di San Guiseppe' if you are in Siena which are for the San Guiseppe festival on 19 February
La Piaggia is a wonderful farmhouse property just 30 minutes drive from Viareggio, sleeping up to 10 people with air-conditioning, ping-pong table, swimming pool, fusbol table, internet access and within walking distance of a local village and restaurant.

San Gimignano
San Gimignano is one of the jewels of all the Tuscan towns and is certainly worth a visit to experience the medieval streets and towers as well as sample the famous ice cream!
Vecchio Fienile is a hamlet of 5 houses located just 7 miles from San Gimignano. Vecchio Fienile offers accommodation for between 2-4 people or alternatively the whole hamlet can be rented as one villa for a large group for up to 20 people.

One of Italys most famous cities and home to thousands of works of art, Florence is at the top of everyones list of places to visit whilst in Tuscany. Whether its to see Michaelangelos David or the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge spanning the river Arno, Florence is a fascinating place to visit for one or two days.

Radda in Chianti
One of the 5 main Chianti towns, Radda is the perfect place to wander through the winding streets discovering the charms of Tuscany. There is a famous delicatessen and butchers shop here, owned by one of Italys famous TV chefs.
La Casanova is a perfect romantic retreat within walking distance of the town and overlooking the vineyards below.

Orvieto
Visit this medieval walled city and uncover a host of artisan shops, leather goods and fashion boutiques whilst admiring the beautiful cathedral or visiting the underground caves. A market is held every Thursday and Saturday morning
